I apologize it took longer than I thought to compile the part II of this post (if you have missed part I, here it is Michael Jordan (Part I), Story + Commercials. I promise you I have taken time to show you only the best. I would like to start with the first commercial below:
“Over 3000 times I’ve been called upon by my company to perform and I did not do what I was expected to do. 26 times the company has called on me for the day’s final activities and I failed. 300 times I’ve been a part of my company’s total failure. And I ‘m still considered to be the greatest basketball player that has ever lived. I am Michael Jordan”
3000 times I’ve been called upon to shoot the basketball at the basket and missed. 26 times my team has asked me to shoot the final shot in the game and I missed. I’ve been part of over 300 losses of the Chicago Bulls.
Next time the Bulls play and there are two to three seconds left in the game everyone knows who will be called to take the last shot. He is not afraid of losing. He is not afraid of defeat.”
This was the commercial in ESPN some time back, and it showed the never-give-up attitude and total commitment of Michael Jordan
This is the remake of the video:
Another three videos below are all great commercials, Become Legendary series from Nike, enjoy:
Look me in the eye. It’s okay if you scare. So am I.
But we’re scared for different reasons….
I’m scared of what I won’t become. You’re scared of what I could become.
Look at me.
I won’t let myself end where I started. I won’t let myself finish where I began.
I know what is within me. Even if you can’t see it yet….
Look me in the eyes.
I have something more important than courage. I have a patience.
I will become what i know i am.
It’s not about the shoes…
it’s about knowing where you’re going, not forgetting where you started.
It’s about having the courage to fail…
Not breaking, when you’re broken.
Taking everything you’ve been given, and make it something better…
It’s about work before glory, and what’s inside of you.
It’s doing what they say you can’t.
It’s not about the shoe, it’s about what you do in it.
It’s about being…..who you are born to be…..
Maybe it’s my fault.
Maybe I led you to believe it was easy, when it wasn’t.
Maybe I made you think my highlights started at the free door, and not at the gym.
Maybe I made you think that every shot I took, was a game winner.
That my game was built on flash, and not fire.
Maybe it’s my fault that you didn’t see that failure gave me strength.
That my pain, was my motivation.
Maybe I led you to believe that basketball was a God-given gift,
and not something I worked for every single day of my life.
Maybe I destroyed the game.
Or maybe, you’re just making excuses.
I would like to end with some great quotes from Michael Jordan:
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan
“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” – Michael Jordan
